The HP Elitebook 6930p tested has an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 (2.53 GHz), 2 GB of DDR2, a SATA hard drive 160 GB 7200 RPM, a graphical integrated Intel GMA X4500HD 512MB shared, 14.1 screen mat''WXGA resolution of 1280 × 800, a DVD dual layer LightScribe, a fingerprint reader (TPM 1.2), a card reader 1 and 2 in Port Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, Firewire, ExpressCard54, VGA, Headphone, Microphone, Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 (x3).
Comes with battery cells 4 and 6, it weighs 2.1 Kg and runs on Windows Vista Business.
Designed in magnesium alloy, the design is solid and professional quality. The sealing system is not to the taste testers who find that we too must push the back of the screen to close the PC. The connections are standard and positioned so that it benefits the right. The keyboard is comfortable thanks to a good key layout well sized.
The touchpad is nice and responsive and the buttons functional. The trackpoint, however, is less tiring and ergonomic to use. The screen displays images that seem a little pale because of brightness and contrast below average. The horizontal viewing angles are good but limited vertical. Finally, the treatment allows the mat slab not be subject to reflection and to be visible outside.
It delivers good overall performance with 5072 points in PCMark05 (2429 points in PCMark Vantage) but is not to play with 702 points in 3DMark06. It is quiet in use but can be heard when it is requested. The heater is fairly well contained. The speakers are correct. Finally, the autonomy of 5:53 is good.
